Contest Judges

1st Place - Jessica Pedro-Pascual

Save the critters - Don’t litter

I’m Jessica Pedro-Pascual! I recently graduated from Bermudian Springs High School, York Springs, PA, and will be attending Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, in the fall. I am very passionate about sustainability and environmental awareness; as a result I plan on majoring in International Agriculture and Rural Development. I am a steward for the Master Watershed Steward program and was fortunate enough to participate in the 2020 Street 2 Creek Storm Drain Art Contest. Outside of my agricultural-driven endeavors, you can find me doing all sorts of art forms such as painting, drawing, and customizing.

2nd Place: Janeen Hershey

Life needs room to bloom - Keep the drains litter-free

My name is Janeen (Klepper) Hershey and I was born and raised in York, PA. I am a 1984 graduate of West York High School and a 1986 Fine Art major graduate of Antonelli Art Institute. Currently, I have my own local paint party business, not a franchise, called PaintAway where I go to people’s businesses, homes, churches, etc. and conduct and instruct paint parties. I am also in the midst of completing contracted murals and continue to do 2-3 pencil portraits of people’s homes daily. I am happily married to Steve Hershey and have an awesome 13 year old son, Jakob Hershey, along with our Goldendoodle, Zeenie.

3rd Place - Janeen Hershey

Within this drain there is life unseen - Please do not litter - Help keep it clean

Janeen entered two drawings and took both second and third place. Please see her bio above.
